Today is Wed August 12.  Yesterday was Tuesday, known in the world of Microsoft Windows computing as "Patch Tuesday".  This was a particularly heavy duty patch Tuesday with patches for many bugs including some really nasty ones.  Might be the time to take a backup and then make sure you are set up to apply updates as they come available.  Here is a link to an article re the above:
